I stand corrected...

Natural childbirth was easier than making candy apples - - least the labour was shorter!!!

I very nearly threw the first batch out. See...I got this idea that I should put them on wax paper to cool.

This is NOT correct. Don't do this.

The wax from the wax paper stuck to the apples - sorta melted it to it. UGH!!!! But Hubby stopped me from tossing the whole bunch, we thought about it for a minute, and decided to try "burnishing" the bottoms of the apples with a hot wet cloth, and that fixed them right up! The second batch went much better - - this time I sprayed the cookie sheet with cooking spray.

Speaking of Hubby .. neither one of us can EVER remember our wedding date. I usually keep it narrowed down to somewhere between the 7th and the 10th....but I'm never sure. We got married on Thanksgiving weekend 2000.

I woke him up this morning - - and we snarled at each other for a few minutes - - trying to get some paper work done....I was running late....I didn't have a good night in the first place....a little stressed out....and the dumb ass insisted on suggesting that I....I?....I was GRUMPY!!!!!

The snarling continued until I was just about to head out the door, and I caught sight of the champagne glasses from our wedding in the china cabinet, with the wedding date engraved on them.

Happy Anniversary sweetheart!

  1. Hmm... ever heard the expression "Sometimes I wake up grumpy but most times I just let him sleep." *LOL* Happy Anniversary

  2. Happy Anniversary!!! However, I would take issue with the thought that candy apples are more difficult that Natural Childbirth!

  3. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Our's too is this weekend...on Saturday.

Today however is my birthday. Celebrations all around.

Don't worry, I can remind you from here on out...LOL

I'd rather sew, believe me. I don't even like candy apples so wouldn't be motivated to make them. Someone mentioned looking at pictures in their comment...I don't see any pictures on your I missing something?
