I have been working away at this a little at a time. I added another five blocks this week. The colours in this photo didn't come out as bright as they are in real life though:
It's time for things to get back to "normal" (a word I would hardly ever apply to THIS household, however...). Back to school tomorrow for me and Itty Bitty. Sailor Boy will be with us for another week though. I suspect we're going to be recovering from this week for a very long time.

I love the colours! It's so happy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteOooo... I BET those colors are bright in person! What a fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Nancy!! Love the colours. Great to see you got some quilting therapy in on stressful week. Sending you some virtual hugs!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying 'normal', whatever that is. I saw a book once with the title, "Normal is a Setting on your Dryer" and I've adopted that as my life's motto ever since...seems like there's no such thing as normal in my household LOL.
Hugs, Jacqui
What a great quilt! It is so nice to see a quilting post again...I thought you had given up quilting for bargain/coupon shopping, and I was beginning to worry we would never see any more of your creations. It is so good to know you found time to take a little "me" time through all that has gone on in the last week or so.My sympathies to you and your boys on the loss of a father and friend.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I love the pattern. Sorry to hear of your family's recent loss. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLove this......in all those fabrics you have in that quilt I don't have one fabric that matches ....can fabric be regional? How big will this be....nice pattern and use of color.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
The black in the nine patches makes everything pop! Love it!

That quilt is phenomenal! I'm doing my first (or perhaps second...) quilt with black as a background and wow! I love the contrast.
