Coming along...
As I mentioned in my last post - I've decided to make "Love Blooms Here", the new series that started in this month's issue of Quiltmaker. I managed to hand applique the basket and hearts down on Sunday evening (before Downton Abbey of course!) and now the leaves are ready for needle and thread. I thought I'd share this tip, since I'm not sure I've ever seen it before. I use painter's tape to hold down my applique pieces instead of pins. It works well for me, and easier to handle. Give it a try sometime.

Thanks, Nanci, for the tip. I'm going to try my hand at a Baltimore Album applique block and I'll try using the tape.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Must file that away for future use.
