I'm ready to start the embroidery for the stems on this block. All of the applique is done. I swear all of the leaves ARE green - just didn't show up so good in the photo. Hmmm.
And yes, I did tell some horrible lie by saying that I could complete this quilt from my batik stash. I stopped into the Triangle Sewing Centre this week to enhance my batik selections. Forgive the horrible lie.

I love the selection of batiks at Triangle... you tempt me to stop in next week...those are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your slow stitching today :)
I renewed my subscription to Quiltmaker to make sure I got the rest of this pattern. Looks like you are well on your way.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the new Quiltmaker for the next block instructions! Your block are looking good. Don't fret about the purchase, sometimes we are better off buying new fabric to make it how we want and not have regrets!
ReplyDeleteNice Block! It is so hard to resist new fabric!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am a blue person, that red batik is very nice!! I saw the Love Blooms quilt in a magazine and am using its layout to make a quilt from a theme challenge we are having at guild. Each month a theme but I am trying to use the theme and make flower blocks to fill in the spaces per this pattern.
