someone is gonna die

I was up at the crack of "what the????" this morning. Hubby dear is starting a new job this morning waaaaaaaaay over in north London (shhhhhh...he doesn't want anyone to know, just in case it doesn't pan out) so the alarm went off at 5:20.

Soooo...I've got some time to kill. Make the bed. Pick up a little clutter. Toss a load of laundry in. And then I think: I've got time to sew a quilt block!!!

Hee Hee!! I start running patches through good old Lucy, and when I get to the end of the stack, swoosh over to my desk on my rolling chair, kicking up my heels with glee! Grab up my scissors to cut the assembly line sewn patches apart, and OMG!!!!!

Someone is gonna die.....there was a glob of peanut butter on the handle of my scissors.

  1. Love that...did someone use my good scissors!
I remember fighting that fight when the kids were home! And also them relling their friends.....don't take off your shoes its dangerous in here with all the pins and needles, you never know where they are!
Ahh the good old days before I had a sewing room when I had to sew where ever I could find a spot.

Don't be to hard on the offender and make sure they have some of their own scissors :0).

I hope the job goes well because their is nothing so peaceful as a happy husband.

    Happy Sewing

  4. I 'find' mine all over the house, I had a phase of when if they were not in the sewing room, I would buy another set. Back fired on me b/c now they think I have to many and none are special. - cw

  5. Too funny! When we were kids my Mom had a fit if the scissors were not where they were supposed to be. That and the "rat tail" comb. Thanks for the memory.

  6. Mine are still young enough to be scared of my "super sharp grown up scissors." I know that time will soon end, and I'll be cleaning off the peanut butter, too.

  7. I fully understand that cartoon. Only non-sewers will not get it. But peanut butter ? Now that one got me *LOL* Good luck with the investigation.
